I'm going to make a long story short...my fiancé and I decided to grab some gelato Saturday night. when we walked in, the girl behind the gelato counter was finishing up her food order from Sal's. We heard her say "I'm right down the street in the same plaza, you can't deliver the food to me?" She was the only one working at the gelato place. She told us that they said to her that it would be over an hour to deliver her food. She ordered a chicken ceasar salad, no cesar dressing just balsamic. So my fiancé volunteered to go get her food, which is literally a 2 minute walk from gelato grotto so the poor girl could eat. When he walked in, there was no one in the restaurant a 5 employees standing around, one employee was sitting at the outside table and smoking. So he walked back to the gelato place and gave her the food. They didn't even give her the right dressing, so then I walked back there and had to get a manager. He told me that if he would have known that she worked in the same plaza he would have delivered it to her but the girl that answered the phone didn't know that. LIE. I heard her say that she worked in the same plaza and I told the manager that. Why was it my job to get this girl food but as a decent human being, I felt bad for the girl who couldn't leave the store. Sal's service is HORRIBLE, so is the food.

Sals makes my second favorite pizza in Palm Beach and it's cheap for carryout on Mondays and Tuesdays: $6.99 for a large cheese. The pasta dishes here are passable, but the garlic rolls are awesome. They come covered in olive oil with chopped garlic on top. Keep an eye out for coupons too, they usually advertise in local publications with two for one early bird specials which is a pretty good deal.

Can I give zero stars?! Horrible My husband and I have vacationed in palm beach gardens for years and are always looking for new take out places. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! We ordered delivery at 7:30 pm on a Monday night, we were told it would be an hour...(ok a little long for a Monday) at 9 pm we decided to call. Turns out the phone girl got our phone number and address wrong and they couldn't reach us. OK everyone makes mistakes... Wouldn't you think they might re-make our food or maybe make it appear like they did (re-heat). Nope our food was ice cold and horrible, which happens when it sits in a car for 2 hours. No apology, no comp on our delivery bill, nothing.

Sal's is cut above the average Italian Place. They have lunch special 2 slice of pizza and drink for $4.99. Hard to beat that, plus you can get most any Pasta dish from the menu, as they have most of the standard ones.

We eat here all the time. You get what you pay for and Sal's is great value for what you get - plus it's tasty. Couple of tips - always go online and get a coupon, and for desert go to Gelato Grotto in the same plaza for some amazing ice cream!

I'm not a huge fan of Italian food but this particular restaurant has a fantastic ambience. I love going for their famous lunch special at half a sandwich a slice of pizza and soup or salad for $6.99 it's a steal. And for dinner I absolutely love their gnocchi Alla vodka. The prices are low and the service is great.

Great food, horrible service. Server had attitude the minute we sat down. Then came back and continued to be rude. Served us hard as a rock garlic rolls and when we asked for fresh ones she rolled her eyes. I could throw them on the floor and they crack in half. We received our food and my chicken parm meat was paper thin, like maybe 2mm in width: My husbands was triple the size. I asked her if this was normal and my husband just got lucky... She said no that's chicken. Well obviously it is, so I asked for a new one and waited over 15 minutes to get it. Horrible experience

The wife ordered pizza last night from Sal's. I guess they had an off night because it took an hour to deliver the pizza and when it got to us it was dry and stale. We've had better luck ordering other items off their menu like the penne pasta and the meatball appetizer. We won't be ordering pizza from them again.

Went there last night and had meatball sub and it was awful. The bread was hard and did not taste good at all. I might go back and try something else from the menu. Our board had their pizza delivered and it was excellent. 2 stars for Meatball Sub & 4 stars for the pizza.

Awful service, waitress was completely rude and rolled her eyes. A fork was left on one of the plates, and was dirty and she says "whose fork was this" and gives it back to my friend instead of giving her a new one. Mediocre food, awful service.

I have been to this location several times for takeout. I enjoy their pizzas, and their large cheese pizza on Monday and Tuesday are great at $7.99, as long as you can pay cash.

You would hope more from an Italian place in the middle of east coast Florida, where the NY and NJ Italians flock. I got the classic chicken parm and was not impressed at all. The penne pasta was mushy, the chicken was mediocre. And then they charged me 19.00 for it. I got a salad before, with the house dressing, that was also sub par. I'm sure the pizza is just fine. Might as well turn this place into a pizza joint and that it, the other stuff ain't cuttin it.

Great deals. The garlic roils would be better if the garlic was roasted. Soups have been consistently tasty. Pizza and calzones are both good. Service can be a tad slow especially on busy days but we find it worth the wait. Staff is always attentive and friendly even if harried. If you are in a hurry get the take out

Came here because my 3 year old wanted pizza for a late lunch. We came to "the closest" pizza place not expecting much and were surprised by the great pizza and good food. The service was excellent as well! I had an early bird dinner of Lasagna which included soup, salad, the entree, dessert and coffee, all for $12.99! The portion was actually quite big and I enjoyed a tasty meal. We'll definitely be coming back, next time, on purpose. :-)

Very Very Disappointing. Having had good experiences from both the Sal's in Jupiter, I assumed the Sal's in legacy place would be the same. I was mistaken. Pizza: tasteless dough, sausage and meatballs tasted old, chicken pieces were dry and flavorless. Linguini with Claims: tastes like a bowl of lemon and linguini. We could not taste the clams at all. We walked out with doggie bags to be polite but tossed them in the garbage outside.

Large portions and it's fresh, like homemade. I had the chic parm and it was a large amount and baked not fried (so many places pawn off chic parm and it's fried). The sauce with it, though it's just their plain, was amazing. The dish of spaghetti that comes with it was large as well and it was just like you'd expect spaghetti to taste, but again the sauce made it happen. Came with a salad and garlic rolls. Pretty fire

Portions were huge. I ordered the chicken Parmesan and it was ok. Service was good and the food was ok. I wouldn't say I would recommend it. It was just ok.

The food was good, the waiter was spread thin with many tables. He made an error on our check and instead of fixing the problem he looked at us like there was nothing he could do. Disappointing that bad service could put such a damper on our meal.

I went into Sals today and ordered take-out. First, I ordered to drinks with order and had to ask twice for them. When I got home the chicken parm sub was not a sub but the meal. Que in unhappy teenager. Then the cheese pizza I ordered barely had cheese on it and the sauce was not tastey. Finally, the Italian sub was covered in Italian dressing. Not the olive oil and balsamic it said on menu. The guys at the counter were nice.

Sal's needs to step up their game. the restaurant is showing wear and tear, staff is not polished, food is just okay. Grimaldi's and Anthony's Coal Fired are going to eat you up if you don't turn the business around. I would equate it to the "Denny's" of pizza restaurants.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
